FibriCheck is a true pioneer as a device-agnostic Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) system. Using PPG signals from smartphones, it detects and monitors heart rhythm conditions such as Atrial Fibrillation. FibriCheck is CE Class IIa certified since 2018 and has over 1 million users in over 43 countries.

The FibriCheck mobile application (iOS & Android) sends its raw measurement data to the Extra Horizon platform where it is analyzed by the FC proprietary algorithms. The results are immediately sent back to the user and reports are generated for the cardiologist to be (re)viewed in their web portal. FibriCheck also uses the Extra Horizon notification services to make sure the users follow a suggested care path.
